Professional Seamless Gutter Installation

What Proper Gutters Actually Do

Your gutters aren’t just hanging there for looks. When they’re installed right, they channel thousands of gallons away from your foundation every year. No more water pooling against your basement walls. No more erosion eating away at your landscaping.

You get gutters that handle Minnesota’s heavy spring rains and sudden summer storms without backing up or pulling away from your roofline. The seamless design means fewer joints, which means fewer places for leaks to start.

Your home stays dry. Your foundation stays stable. And you stop worrying every time the weather forecast shows rain.

Our Gutter Installation Process

Here's How We Handle Your Project

First, we measure your roofline and assess your current drainage situation. Every home is different, and cookie-cutter approaches cause problems later. We determine the right gutter size, downspout placement, and slope for proper water flow.

Next, we fabricate your seamless gutters on-site to exact measurements. No piecing together sections that will leak in two years. We install with proper hangers spaced correctly for Minnesota snow loads and secure everything to handle wind and weather.

Finally, we test the entire system to make sure water flows where it should. We clean up completely and walk through everything with you. You get gutters that work the first time and keep working.

What Your Gutter Installation Includes

You get seamless aluminum gutters custom-fabricated for your home. We include properly sized downspouts, professional-grade hangers rated for Minnesota snow loads, and end caps that actually seal. Everything is measured, cut, and installed the same day.

We handle the removal and disposal of your old gutters if you’re replacing an existing system. The installation includes proper slope calculation so water flows efficiently without standing or overflowing during heavy rains.

If you’re planning other exterior work, we coordinate gutter installation with roofing, siding, or window projects. Having one contractor handle your entire exterior renovation eliminates scheduling headaches and ensures everything works together properly.

Quality seamless aluminum gutters properly installed typically last 20-25 years in Minnesota’s climate. The key factors are proper installation with adequate hangers for snow loads, correct slope for drainage, and regular maintenance. Seamless gutters last longer than sectional gutters because there are fewer joints where leaks can develop. The biggest threats to gutter longevity here are ice dams from poor attic insulation and damage from falling ice or snow slides off the roof.
Most homes in Minnesota need 5-inch gutters, but larger homes or those with steep roofs often require 6-inch gutters to handle the water volume. We calculate this based on your roof area, pitch, and local rainfall intensity. Undersized gutters overflow during heavy rains, which defeats the purpose of having gutters at all. The downspouts also need to be sized appropriately – typically 2×3 inch for 5-inch gutters and 3×4 inch for 6-inch gutters.
Gutters don’t cause ice dams, but they can make existing ice dam problems worse if not installed properly. We install gutters with adequate slope so water doesn’t pool and freeze. However, the real ice dam solution is proper attic insulation and ventilation to keep your roof temperature consistent. Since we also handle insulation work, we can address the root cause of ice dams while installing gutters that won’t compound the problem.
We can install gutters in winter when temperatures are above freezing and conditions are safe. However, fall is the ideal time for gutter installation because it gives the system time to prove itself before the heavy snow season. Spring installation works well too, but you might have to wait longer for scheduling since that’s our busiest season. Winter installation is possible for urgent replacements, but we need decent weather conditions for quality work.
We can install gutter guards, but honestly, they’re not necessary for most homes in our area. Minnesota doesn’t have the heavy leaf fall that makes gutter guards essential in other regions. Most gutter guards create their own maintenance issues and can cause problems with ice and snow. We’d rather install gutters that are easy to clean twice a year than add complications that might cause bigger problems later. If you have specific situations that make guards necessary, we’ll discuss the best options.
Our workmanship is warranted for two years, covering installation issues like improper slope, loose hangers, or leaking joints. The gutters themselves carry manufacturer warranties – typically 20 years for the material. As certified contractors with Owens Corning and GAF, we can offer enhanced warranty options on complete exterior projects. The key is proper installation from the start, which is why we take time to do the measuring, fabrication, and installation correctly rather than rushing through jobs.
